At 美高梅手机娱乐官网, we are committed to the Energy Transition and working with our partners to create a lower carbon future by reducing Carbon Dioxide emissions from our site. We are a partner in the Zero Carbon Humber (ZCH) consortium which has been successful in its bid for Government funding to unlock its major decarbonisation infrastructure project. The ZCH project will establish the world’s largest hydrogen production plant with carbon capture at 美高梅手机娱乐官网 - known as H2H 美高梅手机娱乐官网. Initially the plant will allow industrial customers in the 美高梅手机娱乐官网 Chemicals Park to switch over to hydrogen fuelled energy and will reduce the amount of fossil fuels going into the Park’s gas-fired power plant, thus cutting emissions by nearly 900,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. H2H 美高梅手机娱乐官网 is expected to grow over time, contributing to further emissions reductions from the Chemicals Park and across the Humber.Social
It is our vision to ensure that we contribute to the local communities we live and work in and we achieve this through charitable donations and actively participating in events and activities. The Children Challenging Industry (CCI) programme, initiated in 1996 by CIEC at University of York, provides opportunities for primary school children to experience science, presented in an industrial context. Children undertake a series of scientific investigations in school before visiting a local industrial partner to see how the scientific concepts are applied. The programme aims to inspire children to become lifelong learners through discussing the career options available to them in science and industry and create links outside school. 美高梅手机娱乐官网 Chemicals Park owner, px Group has been a supporter of CCI for a number of years in Teesside. Following the success of the programme and the enthusiasm and engagement shown by our staff, we have extended our participation to the Humber region.Governance
